Palm oil is the world's most produced, consumed and traded vegetable oil. It is widely used in the manufacturing of many products, from margarine to lipstick, biscuits to candles, and chocolate to laundry detergent. It is also extensively used as a biofuel and as animal feed.
Oil palm is a tropical plant species. It thrives on high rainfall, adequate sunlight and humid conditions – this means the best growing areas are along a narrow band around the equator. Palm oil is therefore grown in many countries across Africa, South America, and Southeast Asia. Small amounts of palm oil are grown in many countries, but the global market is dominated by only two: Indonesia and Malaysia.
From fresh fruit bunches to produced oil, important processes are conducted in the palm oil mill with pumps and equipments. According to our sales experience, progressing cavity pump and twin-screw pump are normally used for slurry or crude palm oil transfer. At the jetty dock twin-screw pump is also applied for loading or unloading purpose.
